We realise that it is important for our young clients and their families to build a trusting relationship with us. This is why each client will have their own dedicated team of carers, chosen for their ability to relate and care for the individual child or young adult.

Carers working with Children and Young Adults are specially selected for their caring ability, integrity, reliability , flexibility and dedication, especially their ability to relate to their younger clients.

All staff caring for Children and Young Adults have been through the same rigorous selection process as all carers. In addition to a Criminal Record Bureau Check, the Protection of Children Act list is also checked together with the Protection of Vulnerable Adults list.

Whilst receiving the same induction and NVQ training as other carers, those selected to care for Children and Young Adults receive additional special training in Safeguarding Children. This training has been designed to meet the requirements of the governments 'Working Together to Safeguard Children strategy' and 'Every Child Matters: Change for Children programme.
