The cost of care is dependent upon the level of care required, as assessed and agreed by a member of the management team and yourselves. The cost is for care for one person.

Level one

Where companionship, housekeeping and a basic level of personal care is required e.g prompting with washing, dressing, bathing.
£75 per day inclusive.

Level Two

Where an enhanced level of care is required in addition to the above, e.g. assistance with washing, dressing, bathing, medication, help with food, incontinence.
£85 per day inclusive

Level Three

High Dependency where all the above may be required also feeding, more constant supervision, catheter / colostomy care, administration of medication.
£95 per day inclusive.

Night Calls

If the carer is wakened at night to attend to a client, this will be charged at the rate of £8 per call. If more than two calls are made per night then the care may require reassessing.

If there is a second person resident in the home who only requires domestic assistance a charge of £10 extra a day will be made. If care is required an assessment of need and fee will be negotiated.

Travel and time are charged to and from the carer’s home, for at a minimum the cost of the standard second class rail fare, or at 40 pence per mile if a car is used.

Carers are self-employed, the agency will pay the carer directly so that the client doesn’t need to worry about doing so. Clients will be sent an invoice from TrewCare every two weeks.

Carers will usually work between ten to twelve hours a day, seven days a week. They should have a two hour break per day which should be negotiated with the client. The carer should be available should the client require them.

Carers live in the clients’ home and will need their own bedroom and use of bathroom. Three meals a day plus beverages should be provided.
